# Bitcoin Japan becomes exclusive distributor of UBTECH humanoids in Japan for 36 months

> According to Mynavi News TECH+, Japan's Bitcoin Japan and China's UBTECH Robotics have signed an exclusive distribution contract for Japan. It covers six robot models, including the industrial humanoid Walker S2.

The contract was signed on 16 October. For 36 months, the UBTECH group will supply its Japanese customers solely through Bitcoin Japan. This includes existing customers and global or regional agreements.

The 36-month exclusivity period only starts on the day the first model, the Walker C1, meets the compliance checks and certification required in Japan. Upgraded versions and models that succeed the six robots are also covered.

Bitcoin Japan plans to start with manufacturing and logistics. Before certification, the company says it can already supply robots for research, experimentation, data collection and demonstrations permitted under Japanese law.

Besides selling the robots, the distributor intends to offer them for rent or under service contracts, remaining the owner of the machines. It is also considering licensing the data the robots produce in the field. According to the outlet, neither revenue nor customers have yet been confirmed for this business.
