When an order comes in online, the robot spots the medicines on very tightly packed shelves and picks them up. It checks each product with its vision system, packs the order and places it in a pick-up locker. The courier only has to type the last digits of the customer's phone number to collect the parcel.

According to the Chinese business daily Shanghai Securities News, cited by Robot Newspaper, the robot handles 400 to 500 orders a day on average, after adjustments made step by step. It takes 68 seconds per order on average, with a correct-picking rate of 100%.

The company plans to improve its algorithms in other pharmacies and to strengthen night work as a priority. It is also considering 24-hour operation, with no closing day.
