# Japan: crowdfunding drive to give the LOVOT robot to more than 500 children's homes

> Japanese company GROOVE X will launch a second crowdfunding campaign in mid-November 2026 to donate its LOVOT companion robot to homes that care for children in state care.

According to GROOVE X, the 71 homes equipped in 2023 represent barely more than a tenth of the country's facilities. More than 500 others still have no robot, and the new campaign is aimed at them.

The company plans to deliver the robots around Christmas 2026. It has not yet said how much the campaign aims to raise.
