# ARI, PAL Robotics' 165 cm receptionist that speaks more than 30 languages, according to its maker

The manufacturer also intends it for promotional campaigns and for research on interaction between humans and robots.

According to the company, the robot detects and identifies people. It also recognises the voices and intentions of the people it talks to.

PAL Robotics says ARI speaks more than 30 languages, and suggests checking on request whether a specific language is available.

According to its data sheet, the robot is 165 cm tall.
