# KANGAROO, the 1.60 m biped humanoid PAL Robotics is aiming at laboratories

According to the datasheet published by PAL Robotics, KANGAROO is 1.60 m tall and weighs 50 to 65 kg.

The manufacturer says the robot is light and its moving parts have low inertia. According to the manufacturer, this lets it absorb shocks better and use less energy.

Each leg has 6 degrees of freedom, the page says.

For safety, it has an emergency stop button, backed up by a second, wireless button.
