On the evening of 12 October, Xinjian Chuandong published its reply to questions raised during the review of its Bourse listing. Analysts describe the company as a key supplier of Tesla's robot. In the reply, it writes that the design of Tesla's robot is almost settled and that volume production will soon begin.

The supplier considers the hardware of Optimus V3 to be largely frozen. According to the company, the linear actuators in the joints rely mainly on planetary roller screws, particularly for heavy loads. It adds that no other usable solution is expected to appear for some time.

According to the document, Tesla plans to start volume production of Optimus V3 before the end of 2026. At its Fremont plant in the United States, the former Model S and Model X line is being converted to build the robot. In the long term, it is meant to produce a million units a year.

Tesla also plans to build a factory in Texas to produce Optimus. Construction is due to start in 2027, and the long-term target capacity is ten million units a year. A few Optimus robots already work at Fremont, mainly on artificial intelligence training and data collection.

Xinjian Chuandong also says that a customer identified only as “company A” has placed an order with it for volume production of screws for humanoid robots. According to the supplier, volumes will grow as production ramps up.
