# At a Caterpillar dealer in Texas, 20 AutoStore robots bring parts to operators

The system relies on 20 AutoStore R5 robots. Parts are now brought to the operators, who no longer have to walk the warehouse to find stock.

According to the article, the installation was sized to absorb the volumes expected in its fifth year of operation. It can handle 3,648 picking lines and 751 receiving lines a day.

Kardex says it rejected a standard configuration. The company says it analysed Warren CAT's order history and product catalogue to identify its volumes, demand peaks and growth needs.

According to Kardex, its warehouse execution software FulfillX links FDC WMSv2, the warehouse management platform used at Caterpillar dealers, with the AutoStore robots.

Since commissioning, Warren CAT has seen denser storage of small parts, less travel for operators and a cleaner, quieter workshop.
