Drones carrying robots. On 21 September 2026, heavy bomber drones flew ground vehicles more than six and a half kilometres behind Russian lines, Golem.de reports.

The air drop made it possible to reach supply routes without crossing heavily fortified ground or minefields.

The operation was announced by Ukraine's third army corps, which describes it as a coordinated robot offensive.

It is not the first drop of this kind in Ukraine. According to Golem.de, this mission stands out for the depth of the breakthrough and for the coordination of several robotic platforms operating at the same time.

On this front, robots are used for more than demining and resupply. Some, fitted with machine guns, defend positions. Others carry out kamikaze-style strikes on fortifications.
