Action (ROS 2)
Definition
In ROS 2, an action is a remote call designed for a long-running task: one node sends a goal to another, receives intermediate feedback while the task runs, then a final result. The goal can be cancelled along the way. It is used, for example, to ask the navigation system to reach a point, which takes several seconds.
