Autonomous navigation
- In French:
- Navigation autonome
Definition
A mobile robot’s ability to travel by itself from one point to another while avoiding obstacles. It chains several building blocks: localizing itself, representing the environment, computing a global path, then producing at each instant the motor commands that follow that path. In ROS 2, the Nav2 stack provides these building blocks.
