Motion planning
- In French:
- Planification de mouvement
Definition
The search for a movement that takes a robot from a starting configuration to a goal configuration without collision, while respecting its limits. Methods range from grid search to random-sampling methods, which explore the configuration space without representing it in full. MoveIt, for arms, and Nav2, for mobile robots, include such planners.
