Definition
The most direct form of imitation learning: a model is trained, as in supervised learning, to predict the demonstrator’s action from what the demonstrator observes. The model does not try to understand the goal of the task, only to reproduce the movements shown. Faced with a situation absent from the demonstrations, it can drift, and its errors accumulate as execution proceeds.
