Imitation learning
- In French:
- Apprentissage par imitation
Definition
A method in which a robot learns a behaviour from demonstrations, instead of being programmed movement by movement. The demonstrations are often recorded through teleoperation: a human guides the robot, and the model learns to reproduce their actions from what the robot perceives. The method avoids hand-programming the task, but the model’s small errors can accumulate as execution proceeds.
