Dog mess on the lawn: Segway's robot mower spots it better by day, according to the manufacturer
On its official page, Segway describes a robot mower that locates itself to within a centimetre by combining satellite positioning and vision.
According to the manufacturer, the i205 AWD recharges in 60 minutes and mows for 60 minutes on a full battery, which lets it cover 125 m² per charge.
Segway states a noise level of 59 dB(A) in normal operation and compares it to that of a microwave oven.
The FAQ also asks whether the mower can detect dog mess on the lawn. According to Segway, this depends on its size and shape, and detection works better in daylight, when the lighting is good.
