According to the South Korean site Robot Newspaper, which cites Robotics 247, the German company RobCo, which specialises in industrial automation, has passed a valuation of a billion dollars.

RobCo says it has doubled its valuation in just 9 months.

According to the company, the deal lets it attract new investors and gives long-serving employees the chance to realise part of the value they helped create since its founding.

The new investors in this round include Cherry Ventures and European Tech Collective, a collective of founders of European technology companies.

RobCo plans to launch Alfie commercially on 4 March 2027, at RobCoN, its first annual summit, held in Munich.
