Mobile manipulation
- In French:
- Manipulation mobile
Definition
Pairing a robot arm with a mobile base, which makes it possible to grasp and move objects in a much larger space than a fixed arm can reach. Control must coordinate the movement of the base and that of the arm to place the tool where it is needed. It is a research topic in its own right, with its own technical committee at the IEEE.
