World model
- In French:
- Modèle du monde
Definition
A learned model that represents an environment and predicts how it evolves in response to an agent’s actions. It lets the agent anticipate the consequences of its actions, even train inside this imagined world before acting in the real one. David Ha and Jürgen Schmidhuber showed in 2018 that an agent could be trained entirely inside such a model, then transferred to the real environment.
