Definition
A robot designed to improve the quality of life of its users, whatever their age or abilities. The ISO 13482 safety standard distinguishes three types: the mobile servant robot, the physical assistant robot and the person carrier robot. It notably excludes toy robots, medical robots and robots moving faster than 20 km/h.
