Quadruped robot
- In French:
- Robot quadrupède
Definition
A robot that walks on four legs, each driven by several motors. As with humanoids, its control relies largely on simplified models to estimate its state, plan its footholds and keep balance. The design of motors able to deliver a lot of torque in a small volume has made compact and agile quadrupeds possible.
