Repeatability

In French:
Répétabilité

Definition

The ability of a robot arm to return to the same point when the same position is commanded several times. The ISO 9283 standard measures it by sending the robot many times to several test positions and measuring the scatter of the points reached. Good repeatability does not guarantee good accuracy: the robot may always return to the same spot, offset from the target.
