Dreame L40s Ultra AE or Roborock Saros 10R: two robot vacuums compared on five criteria
This comparison puts the Dreame L40s Ultra AE and the Roborock Saros 10R, two robot vacuum cleaners, side by side. It covers five shared criteria: height, LiDAR, camera, voice assistants and mobile app.
Height
According to Dreame's website (manufacturer's claim), accessed on 28 September 2026, the Dreame L40s Ultra AE measures 97 mm, written "97mm" in the original text. The Saros 10R value comes from a different page: Roborock's Japanese page (manufacturer's claim), accessed on 2 October 2026, gives 7.98 cm, written "7.98cm" in the original text. That page presents this height as the thinnest in the brand's history and uses the label "超薄型設計" ("ultra-thin design"). The two values are given in different units, millimetres on one side and centimetres on the other, and we have not converted them. This height is the only Saros 10R value taken from the Japanese page. The other four criteria for that robot come from Roborock's US page.
LiDAR
Dreame's website, consulted on 28 September 2026, answers yes for the Dreame L40s Ultra AE, and the wording in the original text is "NavigationLDS". For the Saros 10R, Roborock's US page, consulted on 3 October 2026, also answers yes, with the wording "Dual Transmitter Solid-State LiDAR". We reproduce each label exactly as written by its manufacturer and do not interpret it. Each entry is a claim made by the brand that sells the robot.
Camera
On the Dreame side, the website (accessed on 28 September 2026) indicates a camera through the phrase "the camera detects obstacles", so the answer for the Dreame L40s Ultra AE is yes. On the Roborock side, the US page (accessed on 3 October 2026) mentions an "RGB camera" for the Saros 10R, which is also a yes. The two wordings differ in form, one describing what the camera does and the other naming a camera type, and both are quoted here as they appear. Each statement is the manufacturer's own.
Voice assistants
According to Dreame's website (manufacturer's claim), accessed on 28 September 2026, the Dreame L40s Ultra AE is compatible with Alexa, Siri and Google Home. Roborock's US page, accessed on 3 October 2026, lists Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri Shortcuts and Google Home for the Saros 10R (manufacturer's claim). The labels differ: "Siri" on one side, "Apple Siri Shortcuts" on the other.
Mobile app
Both robots come with a companion app, according to their makers. Dreame's website, accessed on 28 September 2026, names the "Dreamehome App" for the Dreame L40s Ultra AE. Roborock's US page, accessed on 3 October 2026, names the "Roborock App" for the Saros 10R. The names are given as written in the original texts, and each one is stated by the manufacturer of the robot concerned.
