Dyson gives its robot vacuum Reuleaux triangle pads to reach into corners
Dyson's robot vacuums and mops floors in a single pass, and its docking station empties the robot and cleans its pads, according to the manufacturer's official page.
To reach into corners, Dyson has shaped its mopping pads as a Reuleaux triangle. The manufacturer describes this curved-sided triangle as a figure formed from three arcs of a circle.
The pads are cleaned at the docking station with water heated to 75 °C, then dried with hot air at 45 °C.
According to Dyson, the robot climbs over thresholds between rooms of up to 40 mm in height.
The robot stands just 96 mm tall, which lets it pass under furniture to clean there, the manufacturer says.
The station also empties itself. According to Dyson, it can store the collected dust for up to 90 days.
