Dyson promises a robot vacuum that hunts stains with UV and goes over them up to 15 times
On its official page, Dyson presents a robot vacuum and mop that looks for stains with a camera and artificial intelligence, then checks its work under ultraviolet light.
According to Dyson, its artificial intelligence recognises nearly 200 types of spilled liquids, stains and objects, then adapts its cleaning to what it has spotted.
The robot does not necessarily make a single pass. On the most stubborn stains, it can go over them up to 15 times to remove them completely, the manufacturer says.
To wash the floor, it uses a damp roller that its station rinses with hot water, at 158 °F according to the page.
The charging station also empties the robot. Dyson says it can store the collected dirt for 100 days of cleaning without intervention.
Finally, the manufacturer says the artificial intelligence runs entirely on the robot, without going through the cloud, and that no image is stored on the device.
