According to Rainbow Robotics, its four-legged RBQ-10 robot patrols alone and recharges itself
Rainbow Robotics presents the RBQ-10 as a quadruped platform designed to move and work outdoors, on rough terrain, on slopes or on stairs.
The robot follows a pre-set route on its own. According to the official Rainbow Robotics page, it plugs itself into its station when its battery needs charging, which lets it run for long periods without intervention.
The RBQ-10 has two ways of walking. By default, its gait is calculated from the laws of mechanics, which makes it stable and predictable. On slippery ground, or when it needs to move fast, it can switch to a gait learned through training, the manufacturer explains.
It can be fitted with a pan-tilt camera, a thermal camera, lighting or a loudspeaker, depending on the mission. The manufacturer intends it for surveillance, inspection and field observation.
