Saltos dans le four : Figure fait fondre ses humanoïdes F.02, avec Arnold Schwarzenegger

This is no simple recycling job: the F.02 robots jump into the furnace themselves, some of them doing a somersault.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, the actor from “Terminator”, takes part in the staging. In the video, he lowers an F.02 into the furnace on the end of a chain.

According to Figure, keeping the old F.02 units in working order would have taken too much effort. The melting was also meant to destroy their protected special components, so that nobody could reuse them.

Finding a furnace was not easy. Operators in the United States and Mexico refused, partly because the robots contained lithium-ion batteries. A Finnish foundry finally agreed.

The molten metal is to be used to make souvenir items, already available to pre-order: 500 dollars for the small model, 1900 dollars for the large one.
