According to the company, the 5,000 square metre site is meant to help humanoid robots move from laboratory demonstrations to reliable industrial deployment.

Generative Bionics says the site is due to be operational by the fourth quarter of 2027. The company eventually plans a second site elsewhere in Europe and a third to serve global markets.

According to the company, the site will reproduce environments chosen with industrial partners, where fleets of its GENE.01 humanoid would carry out tasks continuously in real conditions.

AMD will be Generative Bionics' partner for AI infrastructure, and the network of sites will run on its AMD Helios platform.

Generative Bionics was spun out in 2024 from the Institut italien de technologie (IIT), which granted it exclusive licences on key technologies.
