On its official page, Agility Robotics presents Digit 5, the fifth generation of its humanoid robot, designed to work in logistics sites alongside humans.
Agility Robotics describes Digit 5 as its fifth-generation humanoid. The company says it is the most powerful automation tool it has ever built.
According to the manufacturer's page, Digit 5 can carry up to 23 kg. Its grippers are interchangeable, so it always has the right tool for the task.
Agility announces a work-to-recharge ratio of 10 to 1. According to the company, the robot therefore spends less time on its charging station and more time working.
On safety, Agility says it has designed in-house software to detect humans. The stated aim: to make protective barriers around the robot unnecessary at the sites where it is deployed.
The company says Digit was the first robot of its kind to land work with logistics partners, including Toyota, Amazon, Mercado Libre and GXO.
