Roomba Plus 515 Combo lifts its pads by 10 mm to keep carpets dry, according to iRobot
This iRobot robot vacuums and mops floors, then returns to a station that empties its bin, washes its pads and dries them, according to the manufacturer's official page.
The robot detects carpets on its own and lifts its mopping pads by 10 mm before crossing them, iRobot says, to avoid wetting them.
It offers 4 cleaning modes: vacuuming only, mopping only, both at once, or vacuuming followed by mopping.
Its station, called AutoWash, empties the debris, washes the pads with hot water, dries them and refills the robot's water tank. According to the manufacturer, it allows up to 3 months without emptying a bin.
To find its way, it uses a lidar and obstacle recognition. According to iRobot, it steers around shoes, pet bowls, toys, animals and people.
