SDK (software development kit)
- In French:
- SDK (kit de développement logiciel)
- Abbreviation:
- SDK
Definition
A set of tools supplied to develop software on a given platform: libraries, documentation, examples, sometimes a compiler, a debugger or a simulator. For a robot, the manufacturer’s SDK makes it possible to write one’s own programs. It gives access to the product’s API, and its licence sets what the developer is allowed to do with it.
