Walking after 48 hours of training, according to its maker: meet the HMND 01 humanoid
Humanoid presents the HMND 01 Alpha Bipedal on its official page. It is a two-legged humanoid robot that also exists in a wheeled version.
According to the manufacturer, the robot walked steadily after only 48 hours of training. Humanoid intends it to speed up research and development for domestic and service uses.
The manufacturer says it can step sideways, walk backwards, squat, move along in a squat, hop and run.
Its hands are interchangeable: a 5-finger hand with 12 degrees of freedom, or a simpler gripper, according to the Humanoid page. The robot can also wear spare clothing that serves to protect it.
The robot runs on KinetIQ, the company's in-house artificial intelligence software, which is built on NVIDIA chips. According to Humanoid, the same system can coordinate both wheeled and legged robots.
