Overview

Vega is a humanoid robot designed by Dexmate for research and education.

The manufacturer documents two versions of Vega: the Vega 1 Pro and the Vega 1 U. According to the manufacturer, the Vega 1 Pro weighs 135 kg and moves on wheels. It has 24 degrees of freedom, 7 of them per arm, and a runtime of 20 h. Its onboard computer is an NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor. The Vega 1 U weighs 22.7 kg, unit only and without stand, and carries an NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano. For both versions the manufacturer gives a payload of at least 5 kg per arm, stated as 10 lb or more. It does not state a runtime or a number of degrees of freedom for the Vega 1 U.

The manufacturer states that teleoperation is possible on both versions. The Vega 1 U is teleoperated via VR or exoskeleton. An official 3D model is available for simulation. For the Vega 1 U, it takes the form of SimReady assets in URDF and USD formats. The manufacturer also announces a C++ API and a Python API, available on both the Vega 1 Pro and the Vega 1 U.
