According to its official page, the Warthog is a large off-road robot that can move through water for short periods. On land, its rugged build, low ground pressure and high-grip tyres let it cross soft ground, vegetation, thick mud and steep slopes.
Clearpath says the Warthog can carry a payload of 272 kg and travel at up to 18 km/h on land.
The robot serves as a base for other equipment. Mounting plates and easily accessible power and communication ports allow sensors, robotic arms and other equipment to be fitted, the manufacturer says.
Its onboard computer comes with ROS already installed and configured. ROS is open-source software for robots.
It is sold with a 100 Ah lead-acid battery at 48 V. According to Clearpath, it can be replaced with a lithium-ion battery.
